Little Leage World Series...Here We Come!

Can you believe it? Presto already playing baseball! Last night was a pretty neat event for our family. Little man was a little nervous on the ride to the park, but as soon as we arrived he was all in. His 1st practice began with some base running, which ALL of the kids thought was awesome! No, he was not the kid that took off for 3rd base! He appears to have the speed and grace of Mickey Mantle on the base path.
After running the bases, they worked out their arms. The coaches and scouts were amazed that a 4 year old could possess such a cannon for an arm! It appears that he will enter the season at either 3rd or center, given his hose. Next, they brought out the lumber! Kid after kid came up to the plate, only to dribble a few weak grounders back to the mound. Then Presto came out of the dugout. As he bounded up to the plate, you could see the sheer power in his bat! He dug in at the plate, gave his bat a waggle or two, and then unloaded on the ball! The contact between ball and bat sounded like the roar of thunder! Everyone at the park froze in their tracks and turned their attention to Presto! Parents were asking if he was too old for this league and just exactly how old is this kid. One parent from an opposing team demanded a birth certificate on the spot! Watch out Hammerin' Hank, here comes Presto!

All in all, it was a great night for little man! He had fun playing in the dirt, running the bases, and knocking the cover off of the ball! I know, it was only the FIRST practice! But man, you can already see the potential there! Stay tuned for more updates as the season draws near!

What a player! We immediately received a phone call from the Auburn baseball coach wanting to sign Presto in 2023! We told him since orange is his favorite color, that would work just fine. Keep up the fantastic work, Presto! We will be there to cheer you on at your games. We love you, Little man! Pop Pop and Mimi
