Little Leage World Series...Here We Come!

Can you believe it? Presto already playing baseball! Last night was a pretty neat event for our family. Little man was a little nervous on the ride to the park, but as soon as we arrived he was all in. His 1st practice began with some base running, which ALL of the kids thought was awesome! No, he was not the kid that took off for 3rd base! He appears to have the speed and grace of Mickey Mantle on the base path.
After running the bases, they worked out their arms. The coaches and scouts were amazed that a 4 year old could possess such a cannon for an arm! It appears that he will enter the season at either 3rd or center, given his hose. Next, they brought out the lumber! Kid after kid came up to the plate, only to dribble a few weak grounders back to the mound. Then Presto came out of the dugout. As he bounded up to the plate, you could see the sheer power in his bat! He dug in at the plate, gave his bat a waggle or two, and then unloaded on the ball! The contact between ball and bat sounded like the roar of thunder! Everyone at the park froze in their tracks and turned their attention to Presto! Parents were asking if he was too old for this league and just exactly how old is this kid. One parent from an opposing team demanded a birth certificate on the spot! Watch out Hammerin' Hank, here comes Presto!

All in all, it was a great night for little man! He had fun playing in the dirt, running the bases, and knocking the cover off of the ball! I know, it was only the FIRST practice! But man, you can already see the potential there! Stay tuned for more updates as the season draws near!

The Tension Builds!!!

Just days away from the most anticipated golf event of the year! Dick attempts to find swing K-14 that captured the SugarLoaf Cup of 08. Mr. Right Wing reads his copy of Fearless Golf: Conquering the Mental Game for the 32nd time this month. Gayson rushes out to the chiropractor for a last minute adjustment. Scotty 7 falls to his knees and lifts up offerings Titleist golf balls to the golf gods in hopes of finding ANY game what-so-ever!

The 2009 Reunion Cup is hyped by the media as the most competitive Cup in history. Will it actually play out that way? Only time will tell. An anonymous source leaked that Gayson is suffering from sever back pain, in addition to annal leakage. Yes, anal leakage. This source alleges to have actually spotted Gayson in his black Tahoe, NAKED from the waist down, cleaning his butt with paper towels!!! If this story has any merit, I am not certain one will give Gayson more trouble, the back or the ass!

The first round of the 09 Reunion Cup will be played Friday morning, and Scotty Illustrated will be in Nashville to follow the players hole by hole! Keep on eye out for incredible photos and inside the ropes interviews!

The Walls Came Tumblin' Down!

Ole Roy McAvoy sums it all up for me this weekend! My round leading up to the Reunion Cup began slow with three consecutive 6's. I was really worried heading to #4, only to rebound with an 46 on the front 9. Yes, I was disappointed with the 46 on one hand, yet happy that I was able to bear down and recover. However, my giddiness was short lived. Following a bogey on the par 5 10th hole, my game went straight into the crapper! 9's began to show up on the score card, only to followed by 7's and 6's! Yes, my swing fell apart. Was the heat a factor? Hell yes! Did I lose focus? Of course! Am I anxious to being the grind of the Reunion Cup? Without a doubt! What was once lost may be found!
I realize that there are a few small tweaks that might need to be made. Nothing drastic mind you. I can assure you that I will be prepared this Friday for round #1 to hammer Gayson and Choke! As for you Cupcake, you may want to hold off on uncorking that bottle of bubbly!
